2.Annual Permits

  • Non-Divisible: less than 14′ wide
  • Self-Propelled Non-Divisible: less than 14′ wide

  • Farm Equipment: less than 14′ wide

OPERATING TIME: Kentucky now allows continuous travel, including Saturday and Sunday, except for superloads and the restrictions below.

*Note: Loads over 15’6″ high are not allowed to travel through Kentucky. Delivery of such a load into Kentucky may be allowed on a one-time basis if the carrier can find safe routes for it. However, they usually will not allow it.

On 2-lane highways:

RESTRICTED TRAVEL

Specific Roadway Restrictions

Jefferson (Louisville), Boone, Campbell, Kenton, and Fayette County: For all overweight/overdimensional loads, Monday–Friday restricts travel during the hours of 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m. Also, vehicles traveling on I-75 must enter Ohio via I-275.

Owensboro Bridge: No travel is allowed on the 431 bridge in Owensboro.

At railroad grade crossings: No railroad rule. However, you must contact the railroad company if moving a house and/or a superload.
