GBATS is short for “Guilty By Association Truck Show” and it happens to be an all-out festival of fun for truckers of all generations. Presented by Chrome Shop Mafia this year, GBATS goes on from Friday the 23rd to Sunday the 25th in Joplin, Missouri. And wow is it a helluva time or what?

The biannual truck show is ongoing in part by the Owner-Operators Independent Drivers Association as well as TBS Factoring. In a time when trucking and community join forces to enjoy trucking and the excitement that hauls it, GBATS appears to know what they’re doing.

For example, Big Rig Burnouts happen with a vengeance. There’s also food trucks and even a truck and tractor pull. More incredible activities are there at GBATS for everyone including a Celebrity Meet and Greet of the cast from Stephen King’s Maximum Overdrive accompanied by an exact replica of the truck on site. The crazy thing about it all is that there will be a concert by Joe Nichols and featuring Curtis Grimes to set you in the mood.

GBATS happens to also be a sort of trade-show.

Many majorly big brands come together to show off their products and answer all sorts of burning questions to set your owner-operator mind at peace. Honestly, it appears to be a low-stress weekend. It’s honestly just one of those inclusive events that truckers can thank their lucky stars for being able to attend. No actual judgment is showing anyway. Because really, it’s all about community at GBTS and how to say to her that well is also intentionally known through the ways of the truckers.

So if you miss it, this will happen again at a another time this or next year. In such a situation, GBATS welcomes trucks with open arms and trailers.
